Brentford forward Yoane Wissa thinks the team is prepared for the west London derby and has acknowledged the significance of this weekend’s matchup with Fulham for the club’s supporters.
In the rematch, the Bees triumphed 3-0 at Craven Cottage, with Wissa scoring the first goal on an unforgettable August day by the River Thames.
Because the fans hold this game in high regard, Wissa stated, “it is an easy game to be motivated for.”

“We know they’ll want to right that, so we must be prepared to fight again. We had a good result against them earlier in the season, and that was a great day for our supporters.”

“We had a good result against them earlier in the season and that was a great day for our supporters, but we know they’ll want to correct that and so we must be ready to fight again”

Brentford is 10 points above the bottom three in the rankings and currently sits in 16th place with three games remaining. It implies that football in the Premier League has been guaranteed for four years running.

“We are all relieved to be safe. In terms of injuries and some of our outcomes this season, we have generally been unlucky,” he went on.

Of course, there’s always space for improvement, but we all understand that being safe is the first priority.

“As a Premier League team, we are at ease, but we also understand that this league is never easy. We know how difficult it can be at times, and we’re prepared to do even better the following season.

We wish to set higher goals. We will all be striving to improve next season since we have more experience in the league and a better understanding of it.

With ten goals in 31 games this season, the striker leads Brentford’s scoring charts.

He grinned and remarked, “I am happy with that number so far this season; it means a lot to me and my family.”

“Now that I’m motivated to work harder and get better, I hope to score this weekend, but 10 is a great start for me.”

The international player for the Democratic Republic of the Congo was also eager to emphasise how head coach Thomas Frank contributed to his growth and success this year.

“He pushes all of us as players and has helped me tremendously to become a better player,” Wissa remarked.

Even though it can be challenging at times, he is the one who pushes me to grow and learn new things every day.

“It is fantastic for us because he meets with us players every time and finds something to work on and assist us with.

“As someone who is constantly trying to get better, I think it’s important that he always focuses on the little things that can sometimes make a big difference.”
