Salford’s forthcoming multimillion-pound Youth Zone, currently being constructed in Pendleton, is teaming up with Salford Red Devils, marking a significant collaboration in the city’s youth development initiatives. Backed by £7.6 million from the government’s youth investment fund and additional support from local investors like Fred Done, the project is forging partnerships to enhance its reach and impact.

Situated adjacent to Belvedere Road and Broadwalk, the Youth Zone aims to become a hub of support and opportunity for young people in Salford, including those with special needs, offering services seven days a week upon its scheduled opening in 2025.

As part of the collaboration, Salford Red Devils have pledged to contribute by providing complimentary tickets to their games at the community stadium, while also engaging with families in East Manchester to expand access to sports and recreational activities.

Expressing enthusiasm for the partnership, Salford Red Devils emphasized their commitment to utilizing sports and community engagement as catalysts for positive change. They envision the alliance with Hideout Youth Zone, Salford Youth Zone, and Fred Done as a means to redefine social impact in the region, empowering the youth of Salford and East Manchester.
