Updated: Philadelphia Stars Confirms the Signing Of CB

The Philadelphia Stars continue to sign outstanding free agents. The squad recently signed cornerback Daniel Isom, who offers valuable experience to the defensive unit.

This move comes just days after the organization signed RB Seth Rowland. Within USFL Free Agency, the Stars have yet to sign any athletes from other teams, but have looked to the outside world for more talent.

Now, Daniel Isom joins the team in an effort to bolster the secondary for 2024. Isom is an excellent signing, out of Washington State.

He had an excellent collegiate career, beginning at Northern Illinois. Isom posted 39 tackles in ten games (six starts) in 2016, but did not see any playing time during the 2017 season.

From there, Daniel moved to Iowa Western in 2018, racking up 26 tackles and two interceptions in a short yet effective stint.

In 2019, Daniel Isom transferred to Washington State. In three seasons, Isom registered 119 tackles, two sacks, and an interception. His impressive performances earned him an NFL opportunity with the Los Angeles Rams, where he made some noise during the 2022 preseason.

Most recently, he had a workout with the Arizona Cardinals. Now, Isom is set to join the Philadelphia Stars for the 2024 USFL season. Considering the team has not re-signed Amani Dennis, Ladarius Wiley, or Evan Worthington, it seems like they may be heading in a different direction defensively.
