After the first three days of the 2024 CFL free agency period, the Ottawa Redblacks had signed ten players.

Following their dramatic acquisition of quarterback Dru Brown a few weeks prior, the Ottawa Redblacks made a number of less spectacular acquisitions during the first week of the CFL free agency period to maintain a low profile.

Through Thursday, the team disclosed the addition of ten American players to its roster:

LB Silas Stewart
OL Phillip Norman
WR Joseph Walker
OL Samuel Jackson
WR Kalil Pimpleton
WR Dontay Demus Jr.
WR Tyler Hudson
OL Des Holmes
OL Austin Myers
RB Kylin Hill

Stewart played for the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL for the previous three seasons. In 18 games, he recorded 55 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble in 2022, which was his best year. He has participated in 35 games and contributed 82 total tackles since joining the CFL.

After joining the BC Lions in 2018, Norman experienced health issues in 2023. His season was disrupted by a calf tear as well as an incident in June medicine.

Four wide receivers, three offensive linemen, and one running back were among the other offensive-focused additions made by Ottawa.

The Ottawa Senators take face the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on June 13 to begin their 2024 campaign.
