On Thursday, the Birmingham Stallions added defensive end Jonathan Garvin and outside linebacker Maalik Hall to their UFL roster by signing them to contracts.

For the second consecutive day, the Birmingham Stallions concentrated on bolstering their defense in free agency. The team signed defensive end Jonathan Garvin and outside linebacker Maalik Hall on Thursday.

Garvin, a former seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, spent three seasons with the team. During his time with the Packers, he recorded 38 tackles, two pass deflections, and 1.5 sacks. In his collegiate career with the Miami Hurricanes, Garvin amassed 106 tackles, 29 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and one blocked kick in 38 games.

Hall, who spent the 2023 season on injured reserve, was recently released by the New York Jets. Prior to his time in the NFL, he played five seasons at Southeastern Oklahoma State, where he concluded his collegiate career with 154 tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, three pass deflections, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick in 43 games.

On Wednesday, the Stallions bolstered their secondary by signing cornerback Isaiah Zuber. Hall’s arrival is believed to fill the gap left by linebacker Chris Orr, who announced his retirement from football on the same day.

UFL teams must finalize their rosters by March 23, reducing them to 50 players, giving them one week to make their final decisions.
