Titans Reportedly Make Major Decision Ahead of NFL Draft

The Tennessee Titans have made a significant decision ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft: they will retain the No. 1 overall pick, despite receiving trade offers from other teams, including the New York Giants. General Manager Mike Borgonzi confirmed this move during a pre-draft press conference, stating that the decision was made with a consensus within the organization

This decision marks a pivotal moment for the Titans, who are in the midst of a franchise rebuild. The team has struggled in recent seasons, finishing with a 3-14 record in 2024, and quarterback play has been a significant concern. Borgonzi emphasized the need to improve the roster, stating, “There’s some talent on this roster, but we’re a three-win football team right now, so that’s not good enough”

With the top pick secured, the Titans are expected to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward, who has been heavily scouted by the team. This move signals a shift from previous quarterback investments, as the Titans traded Malik Willis last year and seem poised to part ways with Will Levis following two underwhelming seasons.

The first round of the 2025 NFL Draft is scheduled for Thursday in Green Bay, Wisconsin. As the Titans prepare to make their selection, the decision to retain the No. 1 pick underscores their commitment to rebuilding the team and securing a franchise quarterback
