Due to injuries to Carlton Davis and Terrion Arnold at cornerback, Vildor was able to practice with the first team this week, and according to reporters at Allen Park, he looked excellent.
Vildor is expected to start the game on Saturday and see a lot of action against the Chiefs’ best receivers, barring the injured Marquise Brown. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs (leg) and cornerbacks Terrion Arnold (upper body) and Ennis Rakestraw (ankle) suffered the most serious injuries at the Detroit Lions’ Monday night practice.
A reasonably rapid follow-up revealed that Gibbs had a hamstring problem. Arnold reportedly suffered a pectoral injury on Tuesday night, but he is not anticipated to miss any regular season games. On social media, Rakestraw shared a positive update about his injuries.
The next scheduled media appearance for Lions head coach Dan Campbell is following the team’s preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. However, he was on 97.1. On Wednesday morning, Costa and Jensen of The Ticket provided updates on injuries.
“My phone started ringing two days ago,” Dan Campbell recalled. “I keep getting calls from people asking me, ‘Man, what happened to Gibbs?'” God, TA, how awful! It’s finished. These reports are all available.”
