Max Verstappen has called for an investigation into the circumstances that led to the tragic death of Dilano van ‘t Hoff. The 18-year-old was racing at Spa-Francorchamps in a Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine round, when he was involved in a collision with Adam Fitzgerald in the second race of the weekend. Extending his condolences to his compatriot, two-time F1 World Champion Verstappen told media, including RacingNews365.com : “It’s incredibly sad, I didn’t know him personally. He was a Dutch upcoming racing driver as well who had the same dreams as we had when we’re at that age wanting to get to F1. “It’s sad for the whole family and everyone involved the Team MP motorsport, I know quite a lot of people in there.”
