In the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected former Texas Longhorns receiver Xavier Worthy.

The news for former Texas Longhorns receiver Xavier Worthy isn’t exactly getting better as he starts his first-ever off-season practices in the NFL. Last week, his car was taken from his Kansas City apartment complex.

Worthy has been suffering with a hamstring issue that he sustained during practice earlier this week, according to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who made this revelation to the public on Wednesday.

Reid told reporters, “He tweaked his hamstring the other day, so he didn’t practise today.” However, what we observed was a clever individual who could understand what was being thrown at him and was able to flee very quickly. He was only there for a day and a half, so he received a good introduction to everything, and we essentially simply finished the introduction material for him.

The injury to Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Chiefs, was also discussed. However, Mahomes acknowledged that Worthy doesn’t seem to be in too much pain right now.

“It’s evident how smart he is,” Mahomes remarked of Worthy. “He’s posing pertinent queries. He was working out prior to the hamstring injury, so as a precaution, he could probably return to the pitch right now if he so desired.”

On Saturday, August 10, Worthy will play his first NFL preseason game away from home against the Jacksonville Jaguars. On Thursday, September 5, the Chiefs will host the Baltimore Ravens to begin the regular season.
