It has been confirmed that Jordon Smith is leaving Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing. Smith became a member of the team in June 2022 and competed in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross in 2023 as a team member. Following several years of injury setbacks, Smith made his team debut in the 2023 Houston SX and went on to finish on the podium in eight more 250SX races, for a total of nine podiums, including a win in January at the San Francisco Supercross. Smith achieved his first overall podium in the hybrid supercross/motocross category by finishing third overall at the SMX finale in his final ride with Yamaha. on both 2023 and 2024, he placed sixth on the 250SMX championship standings.
