At Wrexham, one player consistently disobeys Ryan Reynolds’ main rule.

At Wrexham, Ryan Reynolds has imposed a significant rule that the team is expected to follow, but ONE player consistently disobeys it.

Since taking over Wrexham back in 2020, Reynolds and another Hollywood A-lister Rob McElhenney have significantly improved the company’s prospects.

Their two-year promotion streak has continued as they finished second in League Two.

After winning the National League in the 2022–2023 season, the Welsh team has had another fantastic season.

Reynolds has had a hands-on approach and has a major rule the players must follow.

Players must have a shirt on every time they see or greet his wife Blake Lively.

However, Ollie Palmer, who joined Wrexham from AFC Wimbledon in January 2022 and has scored 41 goals across all competitions since his arrival, is a repeat offender and continues to break Reynolds’ rule.

On the Fearless in Devotion -Wrexham AFC Podcast, the Deadpool and Wolverine actor said: “Every time we’ve come as a family and stuff, we’ll walk down to the locker room, and Ollie’s the first guy that walks out of that dressing room completely shirtless to have a conversation with my wife.”

He added: “I’m always like, ‘Ollie, put a f**king shirt on and come back out like a gentleman’.”

Reynolds is loved and respected around Wrexham and Palmer, who missed a portion of the season through injury, revealed the 47-year-old’s touching gesture as he was kept on the sidelines.

“I got an injury during the season and then I couldn’t get back in the team for four or five weeks,” he revealed.

“You don’t hear from anyone when you’re not playing. You hear from everyone when you’re winning, scoring. This was this season; you’ll see it in the latest series.

“In an amongst everyone, one person that did reach out about three weeks in saying ‘keep going, I can’t wait to see you back out there’, was Ryan.

“It means a lot, because think about that where you’re going through the bad times and people still reach out.”
