The COP added it was “attentive and providing the best health care for its athletes.” However, this may not be enough to quell the frustrations of disgruntled athletes and fans.
The body announced both athletes are now in stable condition and under observation at the Olympic Village but remain unfit to compete after their scare. It was revealed 24-year-old Vilaca suffered more intense symptoms than Santos, 29.
