Football Insider has been informed by sources that Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Fulham are among the teams considering a last-minute transfer for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.

Before the deadline of February 1st, it is thought that European teams are also showing interest in the 24-year-old.

On Friday, January 26, Football Insider reported that Chelsea is now prepared to let Chalobah go on loan over the last few days of the transfer window.

They reversed course from their first plan, which called for selling the defender permanently to increase their revenue, since any center-back transfer would have to be approved by Financial Fair Play regulations.

With a loan move away from Stamford Bridge, Chalobah could suddenly put himself in the spotlight; Chelsea is even willing to approve a loan-to-buy agreement for the academy product.

Before the deadline of February 1st, Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Fulham all have room in their rosters to add a loan player from another Premier League team.

All three clubs are rumoured to be searching for defensive reinforcements.

Due to injury, Chalobah has not yet participated in the 2023–24 campaign. It is thought that this lack of availability is the cause of the lack of long-term interest in his services.

After a setback in October and a major hamstring injury during the preseason, he is currently making a comeback.

Whatever the situation, Mauricio Pochettino will rank him lower at Stamford Bridge than players like Axel Disasi, Levi Colwill, and Benoit Badiashile.
