Former Green Bay Packers Star Avoids Serious Legal Issues

The NFL informed  Raiders WR Davante Adams he won’t be disciplined for shoving a photographer following a 2022 game in Kansas City, per sources.

Prosecutors dismissed a misdemeanor assault charge against Adams last summer, but the league probe remained open. Now, it’s closed.

On Monday Night Football after the Raiders’ October loss to the Chiefs, Davante Adams shoved a photographer. At one point in time he was facing legal repercussions. A day after the photographer filed a police report, the Kansas City Police Department charged the star wide receiver with misdemeanor assault. According to The Kansas City Star, the charges were dismissed.

However, now the all-pro wide receiver found out that he won’t face a suspension from the league either. Adams apologized for the incident after the game:

“Before I say anything, I want to apologize to the guy running off the field and he ran and jumped in front of me,” Adams said, per Grant Gordon of NFL.com. “I’m coming off the field and I bumped into him and pushed him.

I think he ended up on the ground, so I want to say sorry to him because that was just frustration mixed with him running in front of me and I shouldn’t have responded that way and that’s how I initially responded.”
