QPR are reportedly interested in signing Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 27-year-old, who has seven caps for Nigeria, is also being linked with Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia. Romano suggests Nwabali is on QPR’s list of potential targets.

Nwabali began his career in Nigeria with clubs like Go Round F.C, Enyimba, Lobi Stars, and Katsina United before joining Chippa United in 2022. He has been a key player in the South African Premier Division, but Chippa United might consider his future amid rumors of a move elsewhere.

QPR, currently battling to avoid relegation in the Championship, may see Nwabali as a potential addition to their goalkeeping department. Although Asmir Begovic has been performing well for QPR since joining last summer, at 36, the club might be considering younger options for the future.

Nwabali recently participated in AFCON with Nigeria, helping them reach the final, although they were ultimately defeated by Ivory Coast. QPR, under Marti Cifuentes, secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Leicester City, lifting them to 19th place in the standings. Their next match is a home fixture against West Brom.
