REPORT: Alabama Football has recently entered a dead period in their recruiting efforts.

Alabama football and basketball make history with top three picks

The Alabama football coaching staff can now take a moment to regroup and refocus as they return to Tuscaloosa to begin laying the groundwork for the new program.

Alabama Crimson Tide had a fruitful National Signing Day, adding three new members to its Class of 2024. Alongside securing the No. 2 overall recruiting class, the coaching staff can now anticipate a break as the college football calendar transitions into a dead period.

The dead period in college football recruiting, spanning from February 5 to March 3, presents an opportune moment for the new head coach, Kalen DeBoer, and his team to focus on the Alabama roster and prepare for upcoming spring practice sessions.

Another reason for celebration for DeBoer and his staff arises from the closure of the transfer portal window, marking the 30th day since head coach Nick Saban’s retirement. With the next opening of the transfer portal slated for April, Alabama will have the chance to augment its roster with additional talent. DeBoer and his team seem to have at least three available scholarships to allocate before the upcoming season.
