Now, at Crystal Palace, Matheus Franca opens up about Oliver Glasner.

Crystal Palace now share interesting Matheus Franca update - We are Palace

Now that Matheus Franca has discussed life at Crystal Palace under Oliver Glasner, he may speak.

The 19-year-old said as much in an interview with ESPN Brasil.

What then did Matheus Franca of Crystal Palace No. 11 have to say about Oliver Glasner? Let’s examine this.

What Matheus Franca said about Oliver Glasner

After going through a terrible period under Roy Hodgson, the Brazilian admitted that he is loving life under the Austrian.

“Ah, very good impression,” remarked Franca. An excellent coach. Everyone is adjusting to him and his playing style as a result of his significant changes, which has been excellent for us.

Under Hodgson, the Brazil U20 international was handed meagre playing time; in the Premier League, he made eight appearances for a total of just 176 minutes of playtime.

Due to Michael Olise’s injury, Franca came on sooner than anticipated during the 4-1 loss to Brighton, but under the 76-year-old, he was only granted more than 20 minutes of play from the bench once.

At Crystal Palace, Matheus Franca now has a chance.

Unlike the aforementioned, Glasner has already given the teenager two Premier League appearances that lasted longer than 20 minutes apiece. He also introduced him as the first substitution against Tottenham and Burnley.

After just a few training sessions working with the South American, the 49-year-old obviously rates the teenager more highly than Hodgson ever did.

Under Hodgson, who even singled him out for criticism after a 2-1 loss to Tottenham back in October, Franca seemed to have no chance of succeeding.

But under Glasner, who values attacking football more than his predecessor did, it appears that the gifted attacker from Rio de Janeiro may finally get his chance to shine.

Franca should be able to finish the 2023–24 season strong in order to establish himself for the following season.
