The Indiana Hoosiers football programme features six former players on NFL rosters for the 2024 NFL playoffs, including Luke Haggard, Peyton Hendershot, Caleb Jones, Cam Jones, Rodger Saffold and Nate Sudfeld.

There are six former Indiana Hoosiers on the rosters for the 2024 NFL playoffs, which begin on Saturday and end on Monday.

Here’s a look back at their Indiana careers, along with further details on their NFL careers, this weekend’s playoff game schedule and opponents.

Luke Haggard is an offensive lineman for the Tampa Bay Bucs.

In 2023, Luke Haggard became an undrafted free agent and signed with the Buccaneers. Currently listed at 6-foot-7 and 305 pounds, he did not play in any regular season games as a rookie but did participate in two preseason games.

Haggard appeared in 28 games and had 26 starts at left tackle for the Hoosiers from 2020-22. In 2021, he was awarded the Chris Dal Sasso Award by Indiana, which is presented to the team’s best lineman. Haggard enrolled in Santa Rosa Junior College in California to start his college career.

The Buccaneers host the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

 Peyton Hendershot; Dallas Cowboys

tense conclusion After joining the Cowboys as an undrafted free agency in 2022, Peyton Henderson is currently in his second season with the team. He ran the ball once for a two-yard touchdown as a rookie and grabbed 11 catches for 103 yards and two touchdowns. In 2023, Hendershot made eight appearances for Dallas and recorded four receptions for 38 yards.

Hendershot earned a three-time All-Big Ten pick while attending Indiana from 2017 to 21. He graduated as the all-time leader among tight ends for the Hoosiers in receptions (136) and receiving yards (1,479).

On Sunday, the Cowboys take on the Green Bay Packers on FOX at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Caleb Jones, Green Bay Packers

Offensive lineman Caleb Jones had one regular season appearance on special teams for the Packers in 2023. In 2022, he became an undrafted free agent and signed with Green Bay.

At Indiana, the 6-foot-9, 370-pound Jones appeared in 41 games overall, including 30 starts at left and right tackle. In 2019, the coaches named him an honourable mention All-Big Ten player after Indiana finished 8-5.

The Packers play at the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET on FOX.

Cam Jones, Kansas City Chiefs

Linebacker Cam Jones signed with Kansas City as an undrafted free agent in 2023. As a rookie, he appeared in 17 games for the Chiefs, primarily on special teams. Though in Week 18, Jones made 11 tackles at linebacker as the Chiefs defeated the Chargers.

Jones played a key role for the Hoosiers from 2018-22, becoming just the third player in program history to be a three-time captain. He made 208 career tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 11 pass breakups, seven sacks, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions. Jones was a two-time All-Big Ten honorable mention.

The Chiefs host the Miami Dolphins on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock.

Rodger Saffold, Cleveland Browns

Offensive lineman Rodger Saffold has enjoyed a 14-year career after being selected in the second round at No. 33 overall by the St. Louis Rams. A two-time Pro Bowler, he has also played for the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills, but Saffold did not see any game action for the Browns this season.

Saffold played at Indiana from 2006-09 and earned second-team All-Big Ten honors as a senior.

The Browns play at the Houston Texans on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

Nate Sudfeld, Detroit Lions

Quarterback Nate Sudfeld hasn’t appeared in any games for the Lions in 2023. He was the 187th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2016 draft by Washington. Sudfeld has appeared in six career games, completing 25-of-37 passes for 188 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

As a Hoosier from 2012-15, Sudfeld became Indiana’s all-time passing leader with 7,897 yards and 61 touchdowns. He also holds the single-season passing record with 3,573 yards in 2015, which led the Big Ten.

The Lions host the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
