Lions have placed two players on injured reserve list.

The Detroit Lions announced a flurry of roster moves leading up to their Wild Card matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.

Cornerback Jerry Jacobs and tight end James Mitchell were officially placed on injured reserve, ending their seasons.

Mitchell underwent surgery Friday to repair a hand injury, while Jacobs is dealing with a lower-body injury.

In corresponding moves, tight end Anthony Firkser and cornerback Chase Lucas were signed to the active roster.

Defensive lineman Tyson Alualu and fullback Jason Cabinda have been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.

Lucas was waived prior to Week 17 in order to create a roster spot for kicker Michael Badgley.

After clearing waivers, he returned to the Lions on the practice squad. He has played in 12 games this season primarily on special teams.
