On the last day of the April season, he gave the Wizards his greatest game. He started and finished with 10 points and 14 rebounds in 35 minutes of action.
But the NBA is a competitive league, much like many other premier sports leagues, and Cooks was waived on October 23, a day before the new season began.
This was in spite of the fact that he had a great Summer League campaign for the Wizards, averaging 13.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in 20.7 minutes per game.
