Manager: Kieran McKenna says goodbye as he confirmed that this we be his least season at Ipswich Town due to new contract with…..

Ipswich Town have thrown their hat into the ring for the signature of Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to Sky Sports.

However, the newly promoted side will face stiff competition from Premier League rivals Fulham and Everton for the England international.

After coming through the youth ranks at Leeds United, Phillips established himself as one of the finest defensive midfielders in the Premier League, earning him a high-profile £45 million move to the Etihad Stadium in 2022.

However, the 28-year-old has struggled for regular game time under Pep Guardiola.

Phillips spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United, but it turned out to be a nightmare move as he featured just ten times across all competitions.

Despite his limited playing time, Phillips remains a highly sought-after talent with 31 caps for England.
