The Brazilian will be making his rookie season in Formula 1 next season. The 20-year-old will join Sauber, teaming up with experienced German driver Nico Hulkenberg.
Since climbing up the ranks in the racing categories, Bortoleto says he puts Verstappen in the same category as Ayrton Senna as his inspiration in racing.
The current Formula 2 season has two races left in 2024. The Brazilian currently leads Isack Hadjar by 4.5 points in the drivers’ championship.
