Hammers now leading race for excellent defender

Away Fan Guide: West Ham United

According to HITC, West Ham United has entered the competition to recruit talented teenage defender Michael Kayode. The 19-year-old left-back has apparently drawn interest from a number of elite European teams. He recently signed a long-term contract with Fiorentina.

Hammers join race for young defender

Major teams including Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, and Juventus have expressed interest in Kayode despite his recent contract renewal. This fierce rivalry shows off his abilities and implies that West Ham would have to make a substantial offer to get him to sign.

The Hammers’ continued uncertainty around head of recruiting Tim Steidten and manager David Moyes could make it more difficult for them to pursue Kayode. Their uncertain futures within the organisation may make it challenging to persuade Kayode of West Ham’s long-term goals.

It does, however, imply that Kayode is a young player who is thriving in Europe and meets the description of a Steidten signing. This is similar to how Mohammed Kudus, who was successfully acquired from Ajax and has since become as one of West Ham’s most important players, was acquired.

Kayode’s signature is in high demand from other clubs, therefore West Ham has fierce competition. This season, he has made 17 appearances in Serie A, and is regarded as a very promising potential. Further evidence of the club’s increasing attention on the Italian transfer market for possible additions comes from their recent interest in Edoardo Bove, a midfielder for Roma.

Even with the intense competition, West Ham is still optimistic about signing Kayode. Because of his talent and potential, the club will probably need to move quickly to secure his services.
