This is great: A big fan of Angel Reese pays the fine for her ejection!

Angel Reese Ejected from Game After Arguing with Official

Angel Reese faced a lot of hardship in the beginning of her WNBA career. Reese’s transition to the league has been difficult because of the severe fouls she has received from veteran players. She is currently with the Chicago Sky. Her squad has also had a difficult start to the season, having won just three of its first eight games.

Reese lost her temper during the game against the NY Liberty. Reese expressed her displeasure to the referee late in the game after receiving her fifth personal foul call, which resulted in a technical foul for her.

As she walked away, she waved off the official, resulting in a second technical and an automatic ejection. This incident drew the attention of Chicago Bulls star Lonzo Ball, who was in attendance. Ball publicly criticized the referee’s decision, calling it weak, and generously offered to cover any fines Reese might face.

“Ref that threw out @Reese10Angel is weak btw… You know who you are (Keep ya money Angel I got you),” he wrote on X.

Another fine for Reese

Reese expressed her gratitude to Ball, replying, “Appreciate you gang!” This wasn’t Reese’s first encounter with fines, as she had previously been penalized $1000 for not speaking to the media after a loss to the Indiana Fever, an action that also cost her team $5000.

Despite the ejection, Reese managed to score a 13-point double-double before leaving the game. Lead official Maj Forsberg later explained that Reese’s first technical foul was for “disrespectfully addressing” the official, and the second was for her dismissive gesture.

Without any prior warnings, the back-to-back incidents led to Reese’s ejection and a $400 fine.
