Good news:2024 midseason update of the top 100 MLB prospects

It’s time for an updated look at my top 100 baseball prospects, as the MLB draft is over and the minor league season ends next month.

This edition is actually a top 105 (since it was hard to separate the guys around No. 100) plus 19 arrow-up names that have improved significantly this year from my preseason top 100.

As usual, I’ve consulted with scouts and executives around the league to determine my long-term rankings for these players, which also take into account their risk, upside, and proximity to the major leagues. See further about my grading scheme and terminology here.

You will see some recently called up major leaguers because players in the big leagues are eligible for this update (MLB rookie eligibility standards apply here: 130 at-bats, 50 innings pitched, or 45 days on the active roster). Each player’s mentioned level corresponds to their current level of play or their previous level if they are either sidelined or recovering from an injury.

Let’s move on to my final rating of the best young baseball prospects for 2024.
