GOOD NEWS: Titans given go ahead to sign excellent quarterback.

The Tennessee Titans are anticipated to transition to a more pass-heavy offence in 2024 under the direction of new head coach Brian Callahan, which quarterback Will Levis will undoubtedly be pleased about.

In an interview with former NFL quarterback Robert Gryphon III for the podcast “RG3 and The Ones,” Levis expressed his excitement for the upcoming season’s increased use of the air pass.

Levis stated, “I’m excited to get the ball in the air more.” “I’m excited to continue throwing on earlier downs. The fact that (Callahan) can do it, teach it, and watch so many players do it excites me about finally mastering the pass game.

“I sincerely hope I can be one of those people for him once more. I am confident that I am capable. All I have to do is fit the parts together.

The Titans need to strengthen their offensive line—which struggled mightily in pass protection during the previous season—and recruit additional wide receivers before they can forward with that approach.

Calvin Ridley, a future free agency for the Jacksonville Jaguars, is one player Levis would like to play with. The Kentucky product lauded Ridley and mentioned that the seasoned receiver is acquainted with offensive coordinator Nick Holz, who served as the Jags’ passing-game coordinator in 2023.

“Yes, he’s a really good player,” Levis remarked of Ridley. “I witnessed him tearing us apart a few times. A player of his calibre on the pitch would be awesome. He must feel at ease with Holz.

“Playing with him would be awesome, and who knows, maybe we could get together in the off-season to toss some balls about and see what we can achieve. However, that’s not my choice. Really, I have no influence.

The Titans should be very interested in Ridley if the Jags decide not to re-sign him because, in addition to being a fantastic backup option, his signing would affect a division opponent.
