Good news for Salford Red Devil’s as three key men returns to the team

Paul Rowley, the head coach, has selected a 21-man roster for the Betfred Challenge Cup action this coming weekend.

Salford Red Devils and Hull KR, the previous year’s finalists, will face off in Round 6 at Sewell Group Craven Park on Friday night.

Salford will be eager for a repeat performance after defeating the Robins once previously this season, with Willie Peters’ team seeking retribution.

Squad news

The 21-man team that will go to Craven Park includes three returnees.

After running into Saints player Morgan Knowles in Round 4, Cade Cust failed a health impact assessment (HIA) and missed our Round 5 match against his former team, Wigan Warriors.

Following stringent concussion precautions, the halfback makes a comeback to the field in a 2022 competition that he won.

Ollie Partington, who has recovered from an ankle injury sustained in training, is also back in the 21-man for the first time since our 2024 opening match.

Red Devils fans will also be pleased to see Joe Mellor included.

The versatile halfback has been out of action with a muscle injury, but he is now working his way back to full fitness and looking to make his Salford debut.
