Good News: Oklahoma Sooners earn commitment from 3-Star

OU football 2024 nonconference schedule finalized with Houston, Maine

Ryan Fodje, an offensive tackle, committed to the Oklahoma Sooners on Sunday morning, extending their stellar start in the 2025 recruiting class.

Although Fodje is presently rated as a three-star talent by 247Sports and On3, he has made a lot of noise recently and drawn several high-profile offers.

Fodje has offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, Nebraska, Missouri, Tennessee, and USC in addition to the Sooners. In the 2025 recruiting cycle, he is ranked as one of the top 30 offensive lineman prospects, but his value may increase.

After attending Brent Venables Football Camp with the Sooners last summer, Fodje received an offer from Oklahoma in August. His first offer came from OU on August 26. In the following four months, he received eighteen additional offers. He has received offers from Texas, Oklahoma State, and Oregon, among other schools, in the last few weeks. On January 20, he even attended Texas’ Junior Day.

Along with Melissa, Texas’ Owen Hollenbeck, the Sooners have committed to two offensive lines, making this their tenth commitment overall in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Despite his 6-foot-5, 275-pound size, Fodje moves extremely effectively. He makes good use of his length and has a nice first step in pass protection. Fodje is a physically strong player who blocks runs. He doesn’t let up on his defender until the other player is on the ground or the play is finished. Driving his feet and blocking through the whistle, he does a wonderful job. He has all the necessary skills to have a significant effect at the University of Oklahoma. He is a natural athlete.
