Three new players are added to the BC Lions roster: defensive back Alonzo Davis, offensive lineman Maea Teuhema, and defensive back Jordan Perryman.

As the CFL offseason progresses, teams persist in identifying talent to add before to training camp. Since signing defensive back Jordan Perryman, offensive lineman Maea Teuhema, and defensive back Alonzo Davis on Friday, the BC Lions have acquired three more American players to their roster.

Perryman, who was ultimately released on an injury settlement, joins the Lions after training camp with the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders last year. He played 42 games for UC Davis to start his collegiate career, totaling 140 tackles, 23 pass deflections, four interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. In ten games following his transfer to Washington for his senior year in 2022, he recorded 37 tackles and one pass deflection.

Teuhema is the brother of defensive lineman Sione Teuhema of BC. Maea Teuhema played for the Arlington Renegades and San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL the previous season. Between 2019 and 22, he played for many spring football leagues in the US, including the USFL, XFL, and Alliance of American Football. In 2018, Teuhema participated in the New Orleans Saints rookie mini-camp.

After playing 24 games for the Tigers in 2015 and 2016, Teuhema enjoyed success at LSU. He cleared the path for Leonard Fournette, one of the best running backs in the nation. In his senior year, he moved to Southeastern Louisiana in 2017.

Last year, Davis was a part of the Tennessee Titans’ rookie mini-camp. In 11 games in 2022 at Northern Arizona, he recorded 32 tackles, 11 pass deflections, and two interceptions.

The organisation has signed two quarterbacks, wide receiver Jake Harty, defensive lineman Pete Robertson, and defensive back Ciante Evans, as part of their latest efforts to add depth to the roster.
