One Wolves player who has been connected with a move has appeared to confirm he will not be leaving the club, at least for the time being. Gary O’Neil hopes for a productive summer after guiding Wolves to a 14th-place finish in 2023-24.
The 41-year-old clearly succeeded Julen Lopetegui just days before the new season began, and he did an admirable job in the end. Wolves may have ended higher in the table if not for injuries and a series of VAR rulings that went against the team. Finally, injuries to key players like Matheus Cunha, Hwang Hee-chan, and Pedro Neto stung, as O’Neil just lacked depth.
Pablo Sarabia, on the other hand, did a decent job when those major players were out. Although the Spaniard has been linked with a move away from Molineux, he does not appear to be ready to leave at this time.

Sarabia finished his Wanderers career with 36 appearances, four goals, and ten assists. Only ten Wolves players played more minutes than him.
Sarabia has recently been linked with a departure from Wolves. According to reports, the club is willing to let him go in order to save money on his salary. Besiktas, the Turkish football giant, has previously been linked with an interest. However, he has recently made comments indicating that he will not be departing. He told the club’s official website, “I needed to adapt to the Premier League, this type of league, as well as the coach’s and city’s ideas.” “Everything is hard, but now I think it’s a very good moment for me, for my family, for everyone because we’ve adapted in difficult situations, but we did and because of this I’m very happy here.”
Sarabia could still go
Sarabia’s words here do not indicate that he plans to depart the club this summer. He appears to have adjusted to the Premier League and wishes to remain there.
However, this does not rule out Sarabia’s departure this summer. Ultimately, every player has a price, and Fosun may be willing to sell if the appropriate offer comes in this summer. Sarabia is Wolves’ highest earner, earning roughly £90,000 per week, so removing him off the books would free up some money.
