Alan Nixon of The Sun claims that contract negotiations between West Ham and David Moyes are still moving along.
The conversations are taking place in spite of Arsenal’s recent 6-0 thumping, the writer said on Sunday, February 18, via his Patreon.
Nixon continued by saying that Moyes is close to reaching an extension agreement and that the Arsenal loss is being considered a “one-off.”
David Moyes to remain at West Ham?
With numerous ups and downs throughout his tenure at the London Stadium, Moyes has had quite the roller coaster ride as manager.
The season’s most memorable highlight was undoubtedly the Scottish player’s incredible victory in the Europa Conference League, which will go down in Hammers history.
Along with experiencing some success in the Premier League—the Hammers are currently ninth in the standings—he has also led the team into the Europa League knockout stages this time around.
However, a lot of supporters have been dissatisfied with the manager’s style of play, and this was especially noticeable during the most recent match against the Gunners when thousands of home fans departed the London Stadium at halftime.
At West Ham, David Moyes is coming under more and more pressure.
Moyes did not have a good look after that disgrace, as his team lost 2-0 against Nottingham Forest on Saturday (18 February) in their next match.
The Hammers’ cause was not helped at the City Ground by the red card given to new signing Kalvin Phillips; as of now in 2024, they have not triumphed in any competition.
