Danilo breaks Rangers’ injury silence while sending a heartfelt message to anxious fans.

Rangers: Danilo sends message to supporters from hospital bed

Danilo will be out until after the winter break but he’s keeping his spirits up.

As he prepares for yet another painful stint on the sidelines, poor Danilo has expressed gratitude to Rangers supporters for their support.

The Brazilian had been inserted as the starting striker for Philippe Clement since he had recovered from a serious facial injury that had sidelined him from mid-August to late October of last year. He began the Rangers’ 1-0 victory over Hearts last week, but a knee injury forced him off the pitch halfway through the second half.

And when Clement announced on Friday that he won’t be seeing him until after the winter break, fans hoping for information on the severity of the injury were disappointed. Although the £7 million striker has not had much luck with injuries, this setback is not depressing him, based on his most recent social media posts.

Sending an emotional message to fans, Danilo wrote: “Out of necessity not able to do what I love the most for a period of time. I will support the team from a distance for the upcoming games. For now I need to focus on healing my knee and getting back as soon as possible. Thank you all for the concern.”

Tom Lawrence was also lost by Clement due to a new injury. The troubled manager had stated earlier on Friday that Tom would be out until the winter break. Danilo will also be absent. That’s not good, then.

“They won’t arrive before the winter vacation. Danilo’s situation was unlucky; that’s what happens in football. He experienced a knee problem as a result of the contact.”
