“Buffalo,
Words can’t express the gratitude I feel toward this city, my teammates, and the entire Bills organization. From the moment I was drafted, you welcomed me with open arms, and over these years, you’ve made me feel not only like your quarterback but part of your family. I came here as a rookie, just a kid from Firebaugh with big dreams and a heart set on proving I belonged. What I found was a community that believed in me even on days I struggled to believe in myself.
I owe so much to Coach McDermott, Brandon Beane, the Pegulas, and every coach, staff member, and teammate who put their trust in me and pushed me to become better every single day. From our hard-fought games to the unforgettable moments in Highmark Stadium, you gave me a place to grow, to learn, and to give everything I had every Sunday. And to my teammates, you are my brothers, my family. We sweated, fought, and celebrated together – I’ll carry that bond with me wherever I go.
To the Bills Mafia, thank you. Thank you for the unwavering loyalty, for sticking with me through every throw, every win, and every tough loss. You are, without question, the heartbeat of this team. Your passion, kindness, and resilience make Buffalo one of a kind. Whether it was jumping through tables or raising money for charity, you showed the world what Buffalo truly is – tough, loyal, and full of heart. It’s been an honor to play for you, to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you, and to feel the power of your support week in and week out.
Leaving is never easy, and my love for Buffalo will never fade. You’ve given me memories that will stay with me forever, friendships I’ll treasure for life, and experiences that shaped me. My deepest hope is that I’ve left as much of an impact on Buffalo as it has left on me. I’ll always be a part of the Bills Mafia, and I’ll carry Buffalo in my heart wherever I go. Thank you for everything.
With endless gratitude,
Josh Allen”
