BREAKING NEWS:Billy ‘White Shoes’ Johnson and other….

Former Oilers receiver/returner Billy “White Shoes” Johnson is nominated for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025 in the Seniors Category, alongside nearly 200 other players. Several former Oilers, including defensive linemen Ray Childress and Sean Jones, tight end Jimmy Giles, and defensive back Jim Norton, are also nominated. Former Oilers coach Lou Rymkus is nominated as a player.

The Seniors Screening Committee will narrow the list of 183 nominees (100 offensive players, 77 defensive players, and six special teamers) down to 50 players. Later, the Seniors Blue-Ribbon Committee will reduce it further, ultimately selecting three Senior Finalists for the Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

The list includes notable players across various positions such as quarterbacks (e.g., Boomer Esiason, Phil Simms), running backs (e.g., Herschel Walker, Roger Craig), and defensive linemen (e.g., Lyle Alzado, Ed “Too Tall” Jones).

The final enshrinement will take place in August 2025.
