Sha’Carri Richardson bailed out USA women from a near collapse with a sensational anchor leg in their 4x100m Olympic relay heat on Thursday.
Richardson, who had to settle for silver in the 100m final last weekend, was almost three steps behind when she took the baton last from Gabby Thomas, who earlier nearly misconnected on her exchange with Twanisha Terry.
