Breaking News: Lions QB Jared Goff throws single-game, career-high 5th interception on ‘SNF’……

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has been setting historic milestones all season long but Week 10’s matchup against the Houston Texans has been one to forget for the 30-year-old. Through three quarters at NRG Stadium on “Sunday Night Football,” Goff has thrown a career-high five interceptions. Goff threw three in the first half and two more in the third quarter, struggling to find his rhythm and groove in what’s been a disappointing performance overall for the former No. 1 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Goff’s previous career high for most interceptions thrown in a single game was set on Dec. 9, 2018, when he threw four against the Chicago Bears while in a Los Angeles Rams uniform. He hadn’t thrown four as a Lions quarterback before Sunday night’s game. He’s thrown more interceptions against the Texans than he had in his previous eight games combined (4) heading into the matchup against Houston. Despite his struggles, the Lions are still within striking distance as the game heads into the fourth quarter. Detroit has struggled to find consistency on offense, something that’s been a regular non-issue for the majority of the season as they ranked as the best overall offense in the NFL before the game.
