The Detroit Lions’ Kerby Joseph is one of the hardest hitting and most impactful safeties in the National Football League, but his no-holds barred tackling style hasn’t always won him fanfare. Recently, Joseph took note of an unofficial distinction given to him by a well known NFL reporter, responding with a hilarious message on X in protest.
“Naw man that’s the wrong DPOY,” Joseph said with three laughing and crying emojis as he retweeted a post from NFL scribe Dov Kleiman, who revealed that Joseph was voted as the ‘Dirtiest Player’ in the NFL. Joseph’s message was posted in reference to the Defensive Player of the Year award, an official distinction given at the end of the season.
