There are few things less fun than an NFL hot mic.
In the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was tackled by safety Brandon Jones. The two-yard run was called back by a flag.
In jest after the play, Mahomes – we guess – asked the referee to tell him when defenders were getting close.
The Chiefs pulled out a win thanks to a blocked field goal, 16-14. The Chiefs are now 9-0.
History was made in the game when Travis Kelce caught his second touchdown pass of the year from Mahomes – which was also the 76th of his career. Kelce, 35, is now tied with Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez for the most touchdown catches in franchise history.
Mahomes finished with 266 yards passing and one touchdown.
The Chiefs are looking to make their way back to the Super Bowl and hopefully win their third straight Lombardi Trophy.
