KkThe Sydney Swans have announced several key appointments within their football program.
Harmit Singh has been appointed as the Talent and Coaching Director of the QBE Sydney Swans Academy.
Singh brings extensive experience from his time at Collingwood Football Club, where he served as Head of Academies and Assistant Coach of the VFL team. He also worked at Essendon Football Club as Academies Manager and AFLW Recruiting Manager.
With over 15 years in the sports industry, Singh has significant experience working with multicultural and Indigenous communities.
Meanwhile, JarradMcVeigh, former Sydney Swans Premiership captain, will take over as Head Coach of the Sydney Swans VFL team.
McVeigh, who played 325 games for the Swans during a 16-year AFL career, has spent the past five years as an assistant coach to the AFL team under John Longmire.
He replaces Damian Truslove, who returns to Victoria for family reasons.
Adam Kennedy, a recent retiree from GWS, joins the Swans as an AFL Development Coach.
Kennedy, who played 153 games over 13 years, will focus on mentoring the club’s 1st–3rd-year players.
Sydney Swans Executive GM of Football, Leon Cameron, expressed confidence in the new appointments, stating that each individual will make a significant impact on the club.
Singh’s academy expertise, McVeigh’s leadership, and Kennedy’s experience will strengthen the Swans’ football programs moving forward.
