There is a lot of historical significance to the possible reunion of Durant and Westbrook. They previously scared opponents with their relationship with the Thunder, almost taking them all the way to the NBA Finals in 2016. But Durant’s contentious choice to sign with the Golden State Warriors in an attempt to win a championship destroyed their powerful tandem and caused a sour breach between the two athletes.
