Kaizer Chiefs and Magesi FC negotiate loan for midfielder and more transfer updates that could happen before the window closes.
Chiefs and Magesi are in serious negotiations over a loan deal for midfielder Sibongiseni ‘Ox’ Mthethwa. With the transfer window closing this Friday night, time is of the essence for both clubs to finalise the agreement.
Chiefs have informed Mthethwa that he no longer fits into the plans of new head coach Nasreddine Nabi. As a result, the club has actively sought loan opportunities for him across various teams in the Premier Soccer League.
Mthethwa joined Amakhosi from Stellenbosch just a year ago, but the excitement around his arrival has faded amid the team’s struggles. As he contemplates his future, the player faces tough competition, especially with Nabi favoring younger talents like Samkelo Zwane and Yusuf Maart. The return of Njabulo Blom from Major League Soccer further limits Mthethwa’s chances for playtime.
