Breaking: 5-star WR finally commits to Oregon Ducks

5-star WR Dakorien Moore sets an official visit to Oregon following his decommitment from LSU.

On Thursday night, Oregon Ducks supporters received wonderful news when 5-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore announced his official decommitment from the LSU Tigers. Now, it appears to be a three-team competition for the top talent from Duncanville, Texas. Moore released his official visit schedule on Friday. He will visit the Ohio State Buckeyes on May 31, the Texas Longhorns on June 14, and the Oregon Ducks on June 21.

After Moore’s decommitment on Thursday, there was a rush of predictions that he would chose the Longhorns, so the fact that he is still planning an official visit — let alone his final official visit — to Oregon is heartening for Duck supporters.

Moore is a candidate that the Ducks have been pursuing for quite some time, having already hosted him earlier this year. Moore is ranked by 247Sports as the top wide receiver in the 2025 class and the seventh best overall talent. The Texas link is significant, with Oregon hiring running back coach Ra’Shaad Samples, who is the son of Reginald Samples, the head coach at Duncanville, where Moore plays.
