I have always loved Houston Texans, I would gladly come back if they still need service.

The current Houston head coach asked the former NFL player if he’d be interested in returning.

JJ Watt is one of the most recognised NFL alumni in league history. His 12 years of professional football set an example for many young college players, and his dominant performances demonstrated his hard ethic. The Houston Texans were his team for the majority of his time in the NFL, and he completed his career with the Arizona Cardinals, spending his last two seasons in the desert.

Since leaving Houston following the 2020 season, he has been missed not only for his outstanding play but also for his dedication to community service. With a very competitive Texans squad likely to compete for an AFC South division title every year for several years and possibly become a Super Bowl contender, an experienced reinforcement is not out of the question. Head coach DeMeco Ryans addressed JJ Watt, hoping that he might be interested in returning to football with the Texans; the conversation went better than planned.

Coul JJ Watt really come back to play in the NFL?

The future Hall of Famer spoke to reporters on Saturday and his answer is something that has the Houston fans excited.

“I’ve had 12 great years in this league and I’m very thankful to have walked away healthy and playing great,” Watt said. “I told DeMeco last year, I said, ‘Don’t call unless you absolutely need it, but if you ever do call, I’ll be there.’ And he knows not to call unless he absolutely needs it. This is the last year I’ll tell him that, because I’m not going to keep training the way I’ve been training, but he knows that if he ever truly does need it, I’ll be there for him. I don’t anticipate that happening-they’ve got a very good group.

Watt finished his career with 586 total tackles, 448 solo tackles, 114.5 and intercepted the ball twice with two touchdowns
