This offseason, the Chicago Bears must decide whether to choose a rookie quarterback or remain with Justin Fields, a decision that might have a significant impact on the organisation.

In league circles, there is a widespread assumption that USC quarterback Caleb Williams, who formally declared for the 2024 NFL draft, will be selected first overall by Chicago. The Bears will try to trade Fields to a team that needs a quarterback if that is the case.

The Atlanta Falcons, who are in need of a quarterback and also happen to be Fields’ hometown team, are among the most well-known teams associated with him.

Fields may fetch the Bears a first-round choice from the Falcons, according to ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr.

Kiper stated, “You could get the eighth overall pick if you trade Justin Fields to Atlanta.”

Everyone would probably be shocked if the Bears were able to acquire Fields in exchange for a first-round pick, especially one in the top-10. The best (and most likely) scenario would be a second-round selection.

You need only consider the Sam Darnold trade between the New York Jets and the Carolina Panthers. In return, they were given selections in the second, fourth, and sixth rounds.

There is no doubt that Fields would draw interest from clubs throughout the league; according to Kiper, teams to keep an eye on are the Miami Dolphins, Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders, and Denver Broncos.
