Breaking News: Detroit Lion QB got duped into believing this incredibly made-up Jared Goff stat…..

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.

And that is a classic quote that may need to be passed on to New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

A user on X, formerly known as Twitter, posted a now-viral post about a stat about Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff.

In Sunday night’s game between the Lions and the Houston Texans, the 30-year-old finished with 240 yards passing, two touchdowns, and five interceptions. Despite the high number of turnovers, the Lions won thanks to a last-second field goal, 26-23, to move to 8-1.

The X user posted that the game (which was still ongoing at the time) was Goff’s seventh career game with at least four interceptions – but his record in those games was 6-0.

Goff so far this season has thrown for 2,080  yards, 16 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. The Lions certainly look like Super Bowl favorites with him at the helm. They host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

The Jets, meanwhile, are 3-7. Rodgers has thrown for 2,258 yards, 15 touchdowns (which ranks eighth in the league) and seven interceptions.
