Rapper Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, is incredibly wealthy and has the freedom to live wherever in the world.
However, the celebrity has never concealed the fact that, having grown up in the Great Lakes State, he is an ardent supporter of Michigan.
In addition to having filmed his hit album 8 Mile in and around Detroit, Eminem is a huge fan of the Lions, the NFL football team that plays its home games.

So, where is Eminem’s residence? Perhaps you already guessed the solution.
You would be correct to assume that despite having a net worth of $250 million, Eminem still has a strong devotion to Michigan. Indeed, throughout the years, the rapper has invested millions of dollars in Michigan’s real estate market, purchasing not one, but two mansions there.
Eminem paid $1.483 million for his first property, an 8,000-square-foot sprawl in Clinton Township, in 2000, according to Celebrity Net Worth. He still resides there as his primary house.
He spent $4.8 million for an even larger Oakland County house that spanned 15,000 square feet in 2003. A TikToker claims that the house had a tennis court, a pool, and a sizable 5.7-acre yard. He has since allegedly sold the property.
Saving money is highly important to Eminem, despite the fact that he has invested in rather expensive residences over the years, according to a 2010 interview he gave The New York Times.
“I make investments. I constantly aim to be intelligent. The most well-known Lions supporter stated, “I try to treat all the money I’m making like it’s the last time I’m going to make it.”
Additionally, Eminem previously admitted to Anderson Cooper that he is “not particularly” fond of showing his wealth, and that he once purchased a Rolex that he was too terrified to wear for fear of scratching the watch’s face.
Eminem returns the favor in Michigan.
In addition to having lived in the state for almost his entire life, Eminem frequently makes large financial contributions to nonprofits in and around Detroit.
He also started the Marshall Mathers Foundation, whose website states that it is “dedicated to providing assistance to disadvantaged and at-risk youth primarily in Detroit and its surrounding communities”.
Additionally, it was disclosed that he was the unidentified contributor of a $200,000 donation to the children’s organization Wolverine Human Services, located in Detroit. “The level of support he’s provided us with is truly astounding,” CEO Judith Wollack remarked in 2013.
“I believe he recognizes the importance of assisting young children, at-risk children, because we are supporting his neighborhoods,” she continued. Furthermore, I believe that he truly appreciates that we recognized him for his long-standing anonymity as a donor.”
Eminem also opened Mom’s Spaghetti, a restaurant, in the neighborhood in a further attempt to boost the local economy and job creation. In case you were wondering, sauce and merchandise are also available!
