USC Football Defensive Lineman Refutes Reports of Entering the Transfer Portal in Hopes of Winning National Title; ‘I’m Here to Finish What I Started’ – REPORT – 2024 Offseason
On Tuesday, multiple college football players nationwide darted for the transfer portal. Among the reports was USC football star defensive lineman Bear Alexander leaving the Trojans program. However, no less than 24 hours later, Alexander took to his Twitter (also known as X) page, debunking his intent to transfer for the second time in as many years.
Alongside the reports of Alexander bouncing from the former Pac-12 club, Oregon State and Miami also lost standouts to the transfer portal. A 1,000-yard rusher, Damien Martinez left Oregon State after two first-team all-conference seasons. Meanwhile, Miami will play without edge rusher Nyjalik Kelly in 2024.
USC Football DL Bear Alexander: Committed to Trojans
Fortunately for USC football fans, it looks like reports of star defensive lineman and former four-star recruit Bear Alexander’s transfer are false. On Tuesday, On3 Sports’ Hayes Fawcett circulated reports of his departure, but Alexander quickly debunked the rumors via social media.
“I’m not crystal clear on all of the noise or what any of this portal mess is about… I’m here to finish what I started, and that’s chasing a natty here at USC with my teammates,” Alexander said on Twitter.
