GOOD NEWS: Twenty four years ago, two ex-Nets shared iconic Olympic moment

The United States of America put on some outstanding individual and team performances at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.

Vince Carter’s spectacular over-the-top slam dunk after leapfrogging France’s seven-footer Frédéric Weis was the most stunning performance.

Together with Carter, Kevin Garnett joyfully celebrated their inclusion in Olympic history as future Hall of Famers and former Nets.

Carter and Garnett have quite distinct Nets legacies, but they experienced a thrilling moment together in international play.
