In the 2026 class, Caden Harris is a promising cornerback from within the state. Harris attends Brownsville, Tennessee’s Haywood High School to play high school basketball. Several prestigious universities, including Mississippi State, Colorado, Memphis, TCU, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and others, have extended offers to him. On the recruiting path, the 6’1, 165-pound defensive back has been gaining traction. He took the time to explain everything to Volunteer Country.

The in-state prospect claims, “My recruitment has been pretty good lately; I’ve just been talking to a couple of coaches from time to time.” “I have been in the most contact with Vanderbilt and Colorado as of late,” he continues. They essentially just attempt to remain in touch and strengthen our relationship, checking in with me from time to time to make sure I’m doing okay.

He has visited Tennessee in the past. He states, “Our relationship is still very good,” in reference to Tennessee and his interactions with the staff and programme. Coach Martinez and I are pretty close. We agreed to be committed to our goals and to keep on course when I last spoke with him. Our relationship is strengthened overall since he coaches with a similar degree of intensity to mine. Harris adds, “Tennessee is definitely at the top of my list right now; I really enjoyed the vibe there and think they’re creating something special.”

Harris remarks, “They also check in quite often; they’ve been on me really heavy, and I love the education part of the school.” in reference to Vanderbilt. It was also surprising to me how many of their younger guys actually play. Harris said, “I’d like to visit all schools that have offered me to get a view of the academic programme and see how the coaches operate everything,” but he doesn’t currently have any visitation plans.
