Indiana coach Curt Cignetti picked up a commitment from class of 2024 quarterback Tyler Cherry out of Center Grove High School.

Quarterback Tyler Cherry announced his commitment to Indiana on Tuesday evening.

Cherry attends Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Ind. and is a four-star recruit, per the 247 Sports Composite rankings. At 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds, he’s ranked No. 20 among quarterbacks and No. 302 overall in the class of 2024.

Cherry is the second quarterback to commit to Indiana in the class of 2024, joining Miami, Fla. product Alberto Mendoza, the No. 86 quarterback in his class, who was originally committed to James Madison. Both Cherry and Mendoza were recruited by new Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti, offensive coordinator Mike Shanahan and quarterbacks coach Tino Sunseri.

Cherry completed 218-of-305 passes (71.5%) for 3,156 yards, 34 touchdowns and six interceptions across 13 games as a senior, according to Max Preps. During his junior season, Cherry completed 140-of-215 passes (65.1%) for 2,269 yards, 22 touchdowns and five interceptions.
